Affectionately known globally as “The Pink Hat Guy” behind home plate at Wrigley Field, Jim passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. He was 82 years old.
Beloved husband and best friend of Lesley (nee Bass) for 55 wonderful years, Jim was a legendary corporate pioneer, a Hall of Fame athlete, and an irreplaceable fixture of Chicago sports history.

Synagogue Memorial Service: A formal celebration of life will take place on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Am Shalom, located at 840 Vernon Avenue, Glencoe, IL 60022.
Interment Details: The burial service at Shalom Memorial Park will remain strictly private for immediate family members.
Shiva Information: The family will receive condolence calls and observe Shiva directly at Am Shalom on Friday immediately following the synagogue service until 5:00 PM.
